Responsible Gaming
Version: 1.0 | Last Updated: 30 July 2025
At Energy Casino, we believe that gambling should always be a form of entertainment — enjoyable, voluntary, and within your means. We are strongly committed to responsible gaming principles and to providing our Players with the tools, information, and support they need to maintain control over their gambling activity.
This page should be read alongside our Terms & Conditions and our Privacy Policy. If you have concerns about your gambling, please do not hesitate to contact us at [email protected].
1. Our Commitment
1.1. Responsible Gaming Philosophy
We take our responsibility to our players and to society seriously. Our responsible gaming programme is built on three core pillars:
- Prevention: Implementing robust age verification, player monitoring, and pre-emptive interventions to reduce the risk of gambling-related harm;
- Empowerment: Providing players with transparent information and practical tools to manage their gambling activity;
- Support: Connecting those who may be experiencing difficulties with qualified professional help.
We train our customer support team to recognise the signs of problem gambling and to respond in a compassionate, non-judgmental manner. If a member of our team believes a Player may be experiencing difficulties, they are empowered to proactively offer support and signpost relevant resources.
1.2. Minimum Age Policy
The minimum age to register an Account and participate in any gambling activity on this Website is strictly 18 years of age. All new registrations undergo age verification as part of our KYC process. Additional age verification checks may be triggered at any point during a Player's activity on the Website.
2. Recognising Problem Gambling
2.1. What Is Problem Gambling?
Problem gambling is defined as gambling behaviour that disrupts personal, family, or vocational pursuits. It exists on a spectrum — from at-risk gambling to gambling disorder — and can affect people of any age, background, or income level. Recognising the warning signs early is a crucial first step towards seeking help.
2.2. Self-Assessment Checklist
Please consider the following questions honestly. If you answer "yes" to two or more, you may benefit from speaking with a professional or using our self-management tools:
- Do you spend more time or money gambling than you originally planned?
- Have you tried to cut back on gambling but found it difficult or impossible?
- Do you find yourself gambling to escape from stress, anxiety, depression, or other personal problems?
- Do you "chase" losses — continue gambling in an attempt to win back money you have lost?
- Have you lied to family members, friends, or others about the extent of your gambling?
- Has gambling caused problems in your relationships, at work, or in your financial situation?
- Have you ever borrowed money or sold possessions in order to fund gambling?
- Do you feel restless, irritable, or anxious when you are not gambling or when you try to stop?
- Has gambling led you to neglect your health, responsibilities, or important commitments?
- Have you ever considered or attempted to commit an illegal act in order to finance gambling?
If you are concerned about your gambling behaviour, please reach out to one of the support organisations listed in Section 6 of this page or contact us directly at [email protected].
3. Player Protection Tools
3.1. Available Tools
We provide a comprehensive suite of player protection tools, all accessible via your Account settings or by contacting our support team. Tools that restrict your gambling activity can be set immediately, while requests to relax restrictions are subject to a cooling-off period to ensure the decision is deliberate and considered.
3.2. Deposit Limits
You may set a maximum deposit amount per day, week, or month. Once a deposit limit is set, it takes effect immediately. Reducing a deposit limit is effective immediately. Increasing a deposit limit is subject to a minimum 24-hour reflection period before taking effect.
3.3. Loss Limits
Loss limits restrict the net amount you can lose within a defined time period (daily, weekly, or monthly). As with deposit limits, reductions take effect immediately, while increases require a 24-hour delay.
3.4. Wager Limits
A wager limit restricts the total amount you can stake within a defined period, regardless of the outcome of individual games. This helps you manage total gambling expenditure over time.
3.5. Session Time Limits & Reality Checks
You can set a maximum duration for each playing session. Once your session limit is reached, you will be automatically logged out. You may also enable reality check notifications, which display an on-screen message at regular intervals (e.g., every 30 or 60 minutes) showing how long you have been playing and your net position.
3.6. Cooling-Off Period
A Cooling-Off Period is a temporary pause on your account. You can request a break from gambling for a period of your choosing — from 24 hours up to 6 weeks. During this period, you will be unable to log in to your Account or place bets. You will not receive any promotional marketing communications during your cooling-off period. The cooling-off takes effect immediately upon request and cannot be cancelled during the selected duration.
3.7. Self-Exclusion
Self-Exclusion is a more serious, longer-term measure for players who believe they have a gambling problem or who wish to take an extended break from gambling. You may request self-exclusion from our Website for a minimum period of 6 months, with longer options available up to and including permanent self-exclusion.
During self-exclusion:
- Your Account will be closed and you will be unable to access or reopen it during the exclusion period;
- Any remaining Real Money Balance will be returned to you via your original payment method, subject to KYC verification;
- All marketing communications will be suspended;
- You agree not to attempt to circumvent the exclusion by re-registering or using alternative methods.
At the end of a fixed-term self-exclusion, your Account will not be automatically re-opened. You must make a positive, deliberate request to resume play, subject to a mandatory minimum 24-hour reflection period. Permanent self-exclusion cannot be reversed.
To initiate self-exclusion, contact us at [email protected] or use the self-exclusion tool in your Account settings.
4. Tips for Responsible Gambling
4.1. Healthy Gambling Habits
The following guidelines will help you maintain a positive and controlled relationship with gambling:
- Set a budget before you play and stick to it. Only gamble with money you can afford to lose — treat it as entertainment, not as a source of income;
- Set a time limit for each gaming session and respect it. Use our session time reminder tools to help you;
- Never chase your losses. Trying to win back lost money almost always leads to even greater losses;
- Take regular breaks. Step away from the screen periodically to assess your state of mind and how much you have spent;
- Do not gamble when emotionally distressed, intoxicated, or under the influence of any substance that impairs judgement;
- Balance gambling with other leisure activities. Ensure gambling does not become your sole form of relaxation or entertainment;
- Keep your personal information to yourself. Never share your Account credentials or allow others to gamble on your behalf;
- Understand the games you play. Gambling is designed with a built-in house edge; all outcomes are random and cannot be predicted or controlled.
5. Protection of Minors
5.1. Our Age Verification Measures
Protecting minors from accessing gambling services is one of our highest priorities. We apply multi-stage age verification protocols at the point of registration and at subsequent intervals, particularly before the first withdrawal is processed. We maintain a zero-tolerance policy with respect to underage gambling.
5.2. Advice for Parents and Guardians
If you share a device with children or young people, we strongly recommend the following:
- Never leave your Account logged in on a shared device;
- Do not save your login credentials in browser auto-fill on shared devices;
- Use parental control and content filtering software to block access to gambling websites. Recommended solutions include Net Nanny, Qustodio, Kaspersky Safe Kids, and Gamban;
- Talk openly with children about the risks and reality of gambling;
- Report any suspected underage gambling activity to us immediately at [email protected].
